There's much to interest filmmakers within this year's SFW programme. Amongst the varied programme of film screenings and events filmmakers can find plenty of opportunity to learn, develop and network.
The opening weekend of the festival offers two amazing full-day workshops starting with Producer Alec Christie on Saturday and followed by Patrick Tucker who delivers his Directing workshop on Sunday. Individually the workshops are £30 or you can book both for £50. Student price £15 per workshop.
On Wednesday 4th November, Solent Post presents 'Cutting Remarks' A FREE and Fantastic Post-Production day featuring World Renowned Film & Sound Editors - too many to list here but well worth visiting the website to check!
At Harbour Lights on Thursday 5th November, Lisa Gifford will explain the basics of web series creation and give her advice on how to get your series noticed by the people who count in her talk 'Making Webseries That Work'. Tickets are £10 or free for students but must be booked in advance.
Plus feature and short film screenings, BAFTA Shorts, City Eye Cinema, Short Story Cinema, New Voices in Film Research discussion on Wednesday 4th November and the Screening and Awards day on Sunday 8th November which includes Exposure Filmmakers 48 Hour Film Challenge and SFW: Shorts!
